Florence Ajimobi honors her late daughter Abisola Kola-Daisi, celebrating her life, kindness, and legacy on what would have been her birthday

The immediate past First Lady of Oyo State, Florence Ajimobi, has paid a heartfelt tribute to her late daughter, Abisola Kola-Daisi, as family, friends, and admirers marked what would have been her birthday.

Abisola, the eldest daughter of former Oyo State governor Abiola Ajimobi, died at the age of 42 on March 27, 2025, in the United Kingdom after a prolonged battle with breast cancer.

She was an entrepreneur and a mother of three.

In an emotional statement, Mrs. Ajimobi reflected on her daughter’s life and legacy, describing her as a woman whose grace, warmth, and quiet strength left a lasting impact on everyone around her.

“Today, we remember and celebrate the life of Abisola Kola-Daisi on what would have been her birthday,” she said.

Mrs. Ajimobi highlighted the virtues that defined her daughter, noting her dignity, kindness, and generosity of spirit.

“She carried herself with dignity and kindness, touching many lives with her generosity of spirit and her deep love for family and friends,” she added.

The former First Lady emphasised that Abisola, though born into a prominent political family, carved out her own identity through humility, poise, and genuine concern for others.

“As the beloved daughter of Abiola Ajimobi and Florence Ajimobi, she was raised in a home built on values of service, compassion and community. Yet beyond her family name, Abisola built her own identity marked by poise, humility and a genuine care for others,” Mrs. Ajimobi said.

Acknowledging the void left by her passing, she said the family chose to celebrate Abisola’s life and the legacy of kindness she left behind.

“Her light may no longer shine among us physically, but it continues to glow brightly in our memories and in the lives she touched,” she said.

Marking the posthumous birthday, Mrs. Ajimobi concluded: “Happy Heavenly Birthday, Abisola. You are deeply loved, fondly remembered and forever missed.”
