Galatasaray Osimhen transfer rumours intensify as Barcelona circle, but the Turkish champions insist no formal offer has been received

Galatasaray have insisted that no formal offer has been received for Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen and maintained that the club has no intention of selling the forward despite renewed European interest.

The response follows fresh reports linking Osimhen with a summer move to Barcelona, who are said to view the 27 year old as a long term successor to Robert Lewandowski.

According to Turkish football commentator Arda Özkurt, club officials dismissed speculation surrounding the striker’s future.

Özkurt stated on social media that Galatasaray had not received any bids and were not planning to sanction a transfer.

Galatasaray Osimhen transfer rumours have gathered pace in recent weeks, with reports in Spain suggesting that Barcelona are preparing a renewed approach ahead of the summer window.

Sources close to the Turkish champions indicated that while the club are determined to retain their prized asset, they have internally placed a valuation of around €80m should a serious offer materialise.

The figure would exceed the reported €75m paid to Napoli to secure Osimhen on a permanent deal earlier this season.

Osimhen is contracted to Galatasaray until 2029, a position that gives the Istanbul club considerable negotiating strength.

The Nigeria international has scored nine goals in 16 Turkish Super Lig appearances this campaign.

Osimhen also netted four goals and provided two assists during Nigeria’s bronze medal finish at the recent Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite the mounting speculation, Galatasaray’s firm stance signals a clear intention to build around the prolific forward as the club pursue domestic and European ambitions.
