Dufil Prima Foods launches the 18th Indomie Heroes Awards 2026, inviting nominations for Nigerian children aged 0–16 who demonstrate courage, leadership, and impact

Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, has officially announced the 18th edition of the Indomie Heroes Awards, calling for nominations nationwide to celebrate Nigerian children whose bravery, compassion, and creativity are shaping the nation’s future.

The 2026 edition introduces key updates to widen participation. Eligibility has been expanded to include children aged 0–16 years, up from the previous age limit of 15, ensuring no deserving child is excluded.

Additionally, nominations have opened earlier than in prior years, allowing parents, guardians, teachers, and community leaders across Nigeria ample time to submit entries before the June 2026 deadline.

Temitope Ashiwaju, Group Corporate Communications and Events Manager at Dufil Prima Foods, said the programme continues to reflect the company’s belief that courage has no age limit.

The expanded eligibility and early call for entries aim to spotlight a broader range of young changemakers whose actions embody leadership, empathy, and ingenuity.

Following submission, entries will undergo rigorous screening and adjudication by a panel of judges. Winners will be formally recognised at a grand ceremony scheduled for October 2026.

Since its inception in 2008, the Indomie Heroes Awards has highlighted stories of Nigerian children who have saved lives, fought injustice, supported vulnerable communities, and innovated solutions to real-world problems.

Winners also receive scholarships worth millions of naira, reinforcing the programme’s commitment to nurturing young leaders.
