The Nigerian-New Zealander previously knocked Costa out at UFC 253 in 2020, and fans are buzzing at the prospect of their second meeting.

According to UFC media sources, the middleweight clash is still being finalized, with no official confirmation yet from UFC President Dana White.

If confirmed, Adesanya vs. Costa II is expected to feature on the UFC 321 main card at the Etihad Arena, potentially as the co-main event alongside Tom Aspinall vs. Ciryl Gane for the heavyweight title.

Adesanya, known as The Last Stylebender, will enter the contest with history on his side. He won the first fight emphatically via second-round knockout and remains one of the UFC’s most decorated middleweights, despite a current three-fight losing streak.

Costa, meanwhile, comes into the proposed rematch riding momentum after an impressive unanimous decision win over Roman Kopylov at UFC 318. Ranked 12th in the division, Costa will be aiming to spoil Adesanya’s return and climb back into title contention.
