The arrest was disclosed in a post shared by security analyst and counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama, via his X account.

According to the report, the suspects were apprehended at about 12:00 p.m. on March 30 by troops of the 403 Amphibious Brigade working alongside members of the Civilian Joint Task Force, CJTF, while conducting routine security patrols in the area.

The individuals were reportedly intercepted while attempting to transport a woman to a suspected terrorist hideout around the Dumba general area, raising suspicions of active involvement in facilitating terrorist activities.
