‘Jump Am Pass’ and TikTok challenge breathes new life into a 2003 gospel hit by Ifeanyi Onyeachonam, inspiring joyful videos and spiritual reflection across generations

Jump Am Pass TikTok challenge is the latest viral trend giving a second life to a decades-old Nigerian gospel anthem.

The song, released in 2003 by gospel minister Ifeanyi Onyeachonam and his group, The Heavenly Lovers Club, has taken over TikTok feeds with a mix of humor, hope, and spiritual inspiration.

Originally part of the Sing Unto the Lord album series, “Jump Am Pass” uses vibrant beats and uplifting lyrics to promote victory, resilience, and faith.

The phrase “Jump Am Pass,” in Nigerian Pidgin, means to bypass or overcome an obstacle  a message that’s now being reinterpreted by a new generation.

In thousands of TikTok videos, users creatively act out scenarios where they literally “jump” over life’s problems, relationships, and bad vibes as the line plays.

From funny skits to deeply personal reflections, the Jump Am Pass TikTok challenge has struck a chord with audiences across age groups.

Many TikTokers were surprised to learn the viral sound stems from a gospel track, not a recent comedy or pop hit.

The track’s energetic delivery, catchy chorus, and timeless spiritual message have made it a perfect fit for today’s trend-driven digital culture.

Following the success of revivals like Mike Ejeagha’s Ka Esi Le Onye Isi Oche and Bright Chimezie’s Because of English, “Jump Am Pass” marks another case where classics are finding new fame thanks to TikTok creators.

Though Ifeanyi Onyeachonam is not active on social media, his 2023 uploads on Spotify  including a remix of “Jump Am Pass” — show he remains committed to spreading the gospel through music.
