Lagos Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu hosts Kai Cenat Lagos visit to discuss youth-focused projects and community engagement initiatives

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu received American streamer and internet personality Kai Cenat at the Lagos House, Marina, on 4 February 2026, marking Cenat’s second official visit to the city.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Senior Special Assistant on New Media, Jubril A. Gawat, confirmed the visit, noting that Cenat shared insights into his plans to engage local communities through educational and recreational programmes.

The governor welcomed Cenat, emphasising Lagos’s commitment to nurturing talent and innovation among its youth population.

During the visit, Cenat highlighted his previous contributions, including a donation of $2,800 to a school in the Makoko slum and a pledge to continue supporting educational infrastructure in underserved communities.
