APC Kano Chairman Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas cited voter intimidation, delayed arrival of election materials, and thuggery at polling units as evidence that the elections were not free and fair.

“Election materials were yet to arrive at most polling units by around 11 a.m.,” he said.

PDP Chairman Alhaji Yusuf Kibiya echoed similar concerns, describing the electoral process as “totally devoid of all democratic processes.”

He urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies to ensure voter protection, transparency, and peaceful conduct.

In contrast, the New Nigeria People’s Party maintained that its supporters acted peacefully, with none carrying weapons during the exercise.

Resident Electoral Commissioner Abdu Zango confirmed that all polling units were supplied with necessary materials, acknowledging some delays due to transportation issues and thuggery, which security agencies mitigated.
