NSCDC Kano Command arrests four young men in Gwale LGA for attacking residents and snatching phones; suspects to be charged in court

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested four young men suspected of attacking residents and snatching mobile phones in Dorayi Babba.

According to the command, the suspects were apprehended during a routine patrol after residents reported a group of hoodlums near a community school. The suspects were allegedly attacking Taraweeh worshippers and passers-by, stealing their mobile phones and other belongings.

The four suspects, all residents of Dorayi Babba, were identified as:

• Yusuf Auwal, 18
• Abubakar Abdullahi, 21
• Huzaifa Ismail Aliyu, 27
• Yushau Abubakar, 17

The corps stated that the suspects were found with a sharp knife and two parcels of marijuana at the time of arrest.

A statement signed by the NSCDC Public Relations Officer, SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, noted that investigations have concluded and the suspects are set to face court charges.

The command urged residents to continue sharing information with security agencies to help tackle crime and protect communities.
