Kano Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf commends police for swiftly arresting suspects in the Dorayi Quarters killing of a woman and her children

The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has praised the Kano State Police Command for the rapid arrest of suspects linked to the killing of a housewife and her children in Dorayi Quarters, Kano metropolis.

The governor’s commendation was conveyed on Sunday by his spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa.

Yusuf described the police operation as professional and timely, highlighting its role in restoring public confidence in security agencies.

“The prompt action of the police is a clear demonstration of commitment and courage in safeguarding the lives and property of the people of Kano State,” he said.

Governor Yusuf noted that while the brutal incident saddened the state, the speed of the arrests reassured residents of the authorities’ dedication to public safety.

He commended the Commissioner of Police and officers for deploying intelligence-led strategies that led to the apprehension of the suspects.

He assured continued government support for security agencies through logistics and cooperation and urged residents to provide timely and credible information to assist law enforcement.

Yusuf stressed that the suspects must be thoroughly investigated and diligently prosecuted to ensure justice and deter future crimes.

The Kano State Police Command had earlier announced the arrest of three principal suspects, with investigations ongoing to uncover the full circumstances of the Dorayi Quarters killings.
