The NPA says 20 ships are discharging petroleum products and food items at Lagos ports, with more vessels expected between November 12 and 14

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has announced that 20 ships are currently discharging petroleum products and food items at the Apapa, Tincan and Lekki Ports in Lagos.

The agency disclosed this in its latest “Shipping Position” bulletin, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Wednesday.

According to the NPA, the vessels are offloading frozen fish, petrol, general cargo, containers, bulk sugar, buckwheat, bulk fertiliser, bulk urea, bulk gas, and bulk gypsum.

Two additional vessels have also arrived and are awaiting berthing to discharge bulk wheat and containers, the authority confirmed.

The NPA further stated that 20 more ships carrying petroleum products, food items and other goods are expected to arrive at the Lagos Ports Complex between November 12 and 14.

These incoming cargoes include general goods, buckwheat, bulk sugar, base oil, aviation fuel, diesel, gas oil, bulk urea, containers, and petrol.

The update underscores sustained activity at Lagos ports, which remain Nigeria’s busiest maritime hubs and a critical gateway for import and export trade.
