Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has sparked debate with a confident assessment of the UEFA Champions League landscape ahead of his side’s semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich on Tuesday night.

Speaking to reporters, Luis Enrique stated that Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich represent the strongest teams remaining in the competition, ahead of the high-stakes encounter at the Parc des Princes.

The Spanish coach expressed strong belief in his squad’s quality, insisting there is no side currently superior to PSG in the tournament.

“There is no team that is better than us,” he said. “These are the two best teams in Europe even if Arsenal also had a great season.”

Arsenal, who have impressed with an unbeaten run in parts of the competition, were acknowledged by the PSG coach but ultimately ranked below both finalists in his assessment.

Luis Enrique also highlighted Bayern Munich’s consistency, noting that the German champions have suffered fewer defeats across the campaign.

“In terms of consistency, Bayern is a bit ahead of us because they only lost two matches,” he added.
