Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has described Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola as the greatest manager of all time following reports surrounding his potential departure from the club.

Enrique made the remarks during a recent interview with Movistar Plus, where he reflected on Guardiola’s future and his long-standing admiration for the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager.

PSG boss expressed disbelief over suggestions that Guardiola could be leaving Manchester City, insisting he hoped the Spaniard would remain at the highest level for many years to come.

“I don’t believe Pep Guardiola is leaving. I don’t believe it and I don’t want to believe it, because I would like him to stay for many more years,” Enrique said.

Enrique also revealed that Guardiola had previously sought his advice when he was a national team coach, describing the Manchester City manager as someone deeply interested in leadership and tactical growth.

He added that Guardiola’s long-term ambition had always included managing a national team, though he was uncertain whether that would involve Italy in the future.

“I would like to see Pep at the highest level for many years because he is a role model for me, he is the best manager of all time,” Enrique stated.
