Maduka Okoye Udinese Player of the Season award follows impressive comeback in Serie A after Super Eagles goalkeeper kept 10 clean sheets

Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye has been named Udinese Player of the Season after an impressive campaign in Italy’s Serie A.

The Udinese Player of the Season honour was awarded to Okoye following a standout season in which he delivered consistent performances for the Italian club, nicknamed the Zebras.

The 26-year-old endured a difficult start to the campaign after being suspended for the first two months over alleged involvement in a match-fixing investigation.

However, Maduka Okoye made a strong return to the squad, reclaiming his position as first-choice goalkeeper and producing key performances against top sides such as Juventus and AC Milan.

He ended the season with 10 clean sheets in 29 league appearances, highlighting his importance to Udinese’s defensive stability.
