The England international is said to be keen on securing a permanent move to Barcelona following an impressive loan spell at the Camp Nou, where he contributed significantly across all competitions.

Rashford enjoyed a productive season in Spain, scoring 14 goals and providing 10 assists, helping Barcelona secure La Liga success and progress deep into the Champions League.

Barcelona officials are believed to have been impressed with his performances and had considered activating a purchase clause worth around £26 million to make the deal permanent.

However, reports suggest the situation has become more complicated following Barcelona’s move to sign England forward Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United in a £70 million deal, potentially reducing the need for Rashford.

Despite this, Barcelona are still thought to be open to negotiations, although the likelihood of a permanent transfer has reportedly weakened.

A return to Manchester United appears unlikely, with club restructuring and managerial changes further clouding his prospects at Old Trafford.

Should the Barcelona move collapse, Rashford is expected to attract strong interest from several top clubs across Europe, with Arsenal and Chelsea both believed to be assessing potential terms for a summer move.
