Kylian Mbappe says he can’t imagine the 2026 World Cup without Neymar and is confident the Brazilian star will be ready despite his omission from recent friendlies

Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappe has said he cannot picture the 2026 FIFA World Cup without Neymar in Brazil’s squad.

Although Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti recently announced squads to face France and Croatia without including Neymar, citing fitness concerns, Mbappe expressed confidence the forward will be ready for the tournament.

Mbappe told Ge.Globe, as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, “Neymar is Neymar. The World Cup is for world stars, and he will be there. I cannot imagine a World Cup without Ney, but I won’t go against Ancelotti. I’m sure Ney will get ready.”
