Morocco 4-2 Haiti as the Atlas Lions fight back twice in Atlanta to reach the World Cup knockout stage and finish second in Group C

Morocco’s national team secured qualification for the World Cup knockout stage on Wednesday after producing a resilient display to defeat Haiti 4-2 in a thrilling Group C encounter at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Atlas Lions, led by captain Achraf Hakimi and goalkeeper Yassine Bounou, recovered from falling behind twice before sealing victory in front of a crowd of 68,239 to finish second in Group C behind Brazil and book a place in the last 32.

The result ensures Morocco’s progression to the next round, where the North African side will face one of the leading teams from Group F.
