Nicki Minaj US citizenship confirmed as rapper reveals receipt of Trump Gold Card and praises  US President Donald Trump

Trinidadian rapper Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, professionally known as Nicki Minaj, has announced that she has become a citizen of the United States, marking a major personal milestone.

The award-winning artist disclosed the development on her official X account, revealing that she received a Trump Gold Card, a residency-to-citizenship pathway that typically requires a $1 million contribution to the US Treasury and a $15,000 processing fee.

Nicki Minaj said the card was granted to her free of charge, expressing gratitude to US President Donald Trump, whom she credited with making the process possible.

She described Trump as gracious and supportive, stating that her citizenship journey would not have been completed without his intervention.

“Residency? Residency? The cope is coping. Finalising that citizenship paperwork as we speak, as per my wonderful, gracious President,” she wrote, confirming that the final documentation was underway.

The 43-year-old rapper has lived in the United States since the age of five but had remained a non-citizen despite building one of the most successful careers in American music.
