NNPP leader Aminu Ringim criticises the APC-led administration in Jigawa for neglecting education and healthcare, calling for urgent reforms

Aminu Ibrahim Ringim, leader of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Jigawa State and its 2023 gubernatorial candidate, has strongly condemned the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration, accusing it of failing the state in the critical sectors of education and healthcare.

Speaking at a political gathering in Ringim, he expressed deep concern over what he described as the ruling party’s neglect of social services and called for immediate reforms.

Ringim highlighted the dire state of education in the state, noting that many schools suffer from a severe lack of qualified teachers.

“It is unacceptable to see only one teacher in an entire school. The government must employ more qualified teachers to bridge the gap and enhance education in the state,” he stated.

Stressing that education is the foundation of development, Ringim urged the government to strengthen the system to secure a better future for the state’s children.

“Children are the leaders of tomorrow — from them, we expect future governors, presidents, ministers, and other leaders,” he added.

Ringim also criticised the state’s healthcare system, calling for increased manpower in hospitals and enhanced capacity-building initiatives to improve service delivery.

He further urged the government to focus on human development and job creation, arguing that empowering citizens would help curb crime, including armed robbery, kidnapping, and theft.

“Investing in people’s welfare and creating job opportunities are essential steps toward reducing insecurity and fostering a peaceful society,” he said.

Amid speculation of a possible alliance with other political parties, Ringim dismissed such rumours, affirming the NNPP’s independence.

“We remain an independent party and are not in talks with any political group. Our focus is on delivering good governance and winning the 2027 general elections,” he declared.

As the 2027 elections approach, Ringim called on NNPP members to remain united and committed to the party’s vision.
