Ogun State has completed 1,600km of roads since 2019 and aims for 2,000km by end of Governor Abiodun’s tenure, improving connectivity statewide

The Ogun State Government has revealed that over 1,600 kilometres of roads have been completed since 2019, with a target of 2,000 kilometres before the end of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s tenure.

Road construction is ongoing across all 20 local government areas.
The administration inherited over 4,000 kilometres of deteriorated roads.

Major projects include:

70km Ota–Abeokuta road reconstruction
Rehabilitation of Ajuwon–Akute, Alhaji Kosoko–Akute, Yakoyo–Alagbole
Infrastructure strategy focuses on rural connectivity, economic hubs, food security corridors, and access to schools.
