Ousmane Dembele has won the Ligue 1 best player award for the second time, dedicating the honour to his Paris Saint-Germain teammates

Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned Ligue 1 best player for the second time in his career after emerging top at the 2025/26 UNFP awards ceremony held in Paris on Monday.

The award was presented by the National Union of Professional Football Players, Union Nationale des Footballeurs Professionnels, which annually recognises outstanding performers in French football.

Ousmane Dembélé, 28, expressed gratitude after receiving the honour, stressing that his success was only possible because of the collective strength of his team.

“It’s an individual trophy, but all the individual trophies I’ve won are thanks to this team,” he said.

The Paris Saint-Germain star succeeds former teammate Kylian Mbappé, who previously dominated the award with five consecutive wins before his move to Real Madrid.

PSG youngster Désiré Doué was also recognised on the night, winning the Ligue 1 Best Young Player award following an impressive breakthrough season.

In the coaching category, Lens manager Pierre Sage was named Best Coach after guiding his side into strong contention with Paris Saint-Germain in the league race.

Lens goalkeeper Robin Risser also earned recognition, winning Best Goalkeeper after a standout campaign.

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich winger Michael Olise was awarded Best French Player Abroad, highlighting his growing influence outside Ligue 1.

The ceremony reflected a season of emerging talent and continued PSG dominance, with Dembélé’s latest accolade reinforcing his status among France’s elite footballers.
