The warning was posted on Facebook by Sharfadeen Bature, following a wave of attacks last week in Barkin Ladi and Riyom local government areas that claimed the lives of several Christians and Muslims.

In his post, Bature wrote in Hausa, “Bayan azumi, zamu shirya cin kutumar ubansu, koma ya koma yankinsa,” which translates to “After fasting, we will deal with them. Everyone should return to their region.”

The threat has sparked widespread concern among residents, many of whom are urging security agencies to intervene immediately.

Edward Nanle commented that such threats incite religious crisis and expressed doubt about timely law enforcement.

Funom Peter emphasised that the suspect could be speaking on behalf of a larger group planning attacks after Ramadan.

Istifanus Bitrus described the message as “very serious” and called for Bature’s immediate arrest, while Ibrahim Bako and Ezekiel Gyang noted that he was still at large and stressed the importance of apprehending him to uncover potential plots.
