Prime Boy has filed a defamation lawsuit against Mohbad’s mother, demanding ₦50 million in damages over alleged false and malicious statements

Owodunni Ibrahim, popularly known as Prime Boy and best friend of the late singer Mohbad, has taken legal action against Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Adeyemo, over alleged defamation.

Prime Boy filed the lawsuit at the High Court of Lagos State, Ikeja, and shared the legal document on his Instagram page on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.

According to the lawsuit, Prime Boy is suing Abosede Adeyemo for alleged libelous and malicious statements made during a video interview on March 28, 2024.

The statements, widely published by several media outlets, were allegedly aimed at tarnishing his reputation.

The court document, dated February 12, 2025, claims that Adeyemo’s remarks caused significant damage to Prime Boy’s public image.

As a result, he is demanding ₦50 million in damages for what he describes as “libelous, injurious, false, and malicious statements” that defamed him in the eyes of the public.

This legal action comes amid ongoing controversies surrounding Mohbad’s death, with accusations, legal battles, and family disputes making headlines.

Recently, Mohbad’s wife, Omowunmi, and his father, Joseph Aloba, have also been involved in public debates regarding paternity claims and other sensitive issues.
