Super Eagles AFCON 2027 qualifiers draw places Nigeria with Madagascar, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau ahead of the qualification campaign

The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn against Madagascar, Tanzania and Guinea-Bissau in the qualifiers for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.

Super Eagles discover AFCON 2027 qualifying group took place on Tuesday at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association in Cairo, setting the stage for Nigeria’s qualification campaign.

Nigeria, led by head coach Éric Chelle, were placed among the seeded teams and are widely expected to top the group, given their pedigree on the continent.

Under the qualification format, the top two teams in each group will secure tickets to the AFCON 2027 finals.

The qualifying fixtures will be spread across three FIFA international windows between September 2026 and March 2027.

Matchdays one and two are scheduled for September 21 and October 6, 2026, while the third and fourth rounds will be played between November 9 and 17, 2026.

The final round of group matches will take place between March 22 and 30, 2027.
