The directive, issued in a statement personally signed by Tinubu, comes after multiple suicide bombings by suspected Boko Haram insurgents targeted the Borno capital, causing widespread panic.

The President commiserated with the people of Borno and reassured Nigerians that the military is making significant progress in the fight against insurgency.

He confirmed that additional equipment and operational support were approved last week during a security meeting with intelligence and defence leaders.
