In a condolence statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu described Ibrahim as a distinguished figure who left enduring contributions to Nigeria through politics, business, and community service.

Alhaji Isyaku Ibrahim, a native of Wamba in Nasarawa State, was a prominent chieftain of the defunct National Party of Nigeria during the Second Republic and later a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party during Nigeria’s transition to civil rule in 1998.

Beyond politics, Ibrahim was deeply invested in sports development. He founded the Mighty Jets Football Club in Jos, which flourished for decades and became a symbol of grassroots football in Nigeria.
