UBA Foundation charity outreach delivers food and essential items to vulnerable children and elderly in Lagos, reflecting its commitment to community support

UBA Foundation charity outreach continues to make a meaningful impact as the philanthropic arm of United Bank for Africa Plc extended much-needed support to underprivileged communities in Lagos through its latest charity initiative.

The outreach, which took place at the So-Said Charity Homes Community and SOS Children’s Village, saw the Foundation distributing food items and essential relief materials to children, the elderly, and other vulnerable members of society.

Speaking during the event, Alero Ladipo, UBA’s Group Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, reaffirmed the bank’s mission to support and uplift communities across Africa.

“At UBA Foundation, we believe in touching lives. The elderly and children are among the most vulnerable, and it is our responsibility to support them in any way we can,” she said.

Residents at both facilities responded with heartfelt appreciation. Mrs Felicia Martins, CEO of So-Said Charity Homes Community, noted that the donations came at a critical time.

“These contributions will go a long way in providing much-needed relief,” she said.

Ayodeji Adelopo, Programme Director of SOS Children’s Village, echoed similar sentiments, commending the UBA Foundation for consistently demonstrating care and empathy for orphaned and vulnerable children.

“This donation will ensure nutritious meals and essentials reach those who need them most,” he added.

Bola Atta, Managing Director/CEO of UBA Foundation, underlined that the outreach is part of a broader strategy focused on education, empowerment, and environmental sustainability.

“We are steadfast in our mission to uplift communities. These acts are more than donations—they are our way of demonstrating impact,” she said.
