Xabi Alonso assures there’s “no Vini Jr case” at Real Madrid, praising the winger’s honesty and confirming he will not be punished

Real Madrid coach Xabi Alonso has addressed recent speculation surrounding winger Vinícius Júnior, confirming there is “no Vini Jr case”.

Speaking to reporters, Alonso praised Vinícius for his honesty and clarity with the squad:

“Vini spoke in front of all of us on Wednesday, and he’s been fantastic. He was impeccable in his speech in front of all of us. Vinicius Jr will not be punished. The matter is closed.”

The comments come after Vinícius Jr issued a public apology following his reaction to being substituted during Real Madrid’s high-stakes El Clásico against Barcelona.

Alonso also addressed winger Endrick, who has seen limited playing time this season:

“I would have liked Endrick to have had more minutes. But some circumstances need to be right.”

Reports indicate that Endrick is likely to go out on loan during the January transfer window, with negotiations underway between Real Madrid and interested clubs.
