Reactions have trailed the successful release of the music video of the hit song ‘Stand Strong’ by Davido featuring The Samples.

Following the successful release of the music video for the viral song ‘Stand Strong’ by Davido featuring The Samples, today, Wednesday, May 25, 2022, music lovers have taken to social media to share their reactions to the release.

Davido discussed the importance of ‘Stand Strong’ to him as an artist upon its release on the 13th of May 2022. He stated:

This one is special to me. It’s different. The conception has been different. The mindset has been different. The making has been different. I know you love it when I make you dance, but now I want to make you feel. This one’s for everyone out there holding it up. I know what I’ve experienced the past 10 years, and alot of you have been through it all with me. But… have you really? For the first time I want to bring you into the other part of my world. The part where every day is a battle but I have no option but to STAND STRONG. I present to you, the first single off my next album.

‘Stand Strong’ which is a song off the upcoming album from the 30 BG boss himself Davido, has been doing well on the charts in Nigeria and other countries and in terms of streams as well. The song has garnered over 900 thousand streams on youtube with its lyrics visualizer.

Why I boycott Headies Award – Rapper Erigga

Nigerian hip-hop artist Erigga Agarivbie, better known as Erigga, said he started boycotting the Headies Award after his 2020 album ‘The Erigma II’ lost out in the Best Rap Album category at the 14th edition of the award show.

He accused Headies organisers of disrespecting artists from the South-South region.

Erigga made the allegations via his Twitter handle on Wednesday, hours after the nominees for the 16th Headies were announced.

Despite releasing an album, ‘The Lost Boy,’ in the year under review, the Warri-born rapper did not secure any nominations.

Venting his anger on Twitter, Erigga shared the art cover of his 2020 album ‘The Erigma II’, with the caption: “Na from here I don take boycott all these f*ckers (Headies) the disrespect was too much for the south south to take… If you don’t like us and not going to respect our craft then it’s f*ck you and everything you represent; that’s it.”

Friends advised us to quit music – Ajebo Hustlers

Nigerian musical duo, Ajebo Hustlers have disclosed that some of their friends advised them to quit music because they weren’t making a fortune from the profession initially.

The Port Harcourt-born duo said their struggle for stardom forced them to be accommodated by several family members and friends before they finally hit stardom.

They said at one point, they were housed by singer D’banj’s younger brother, K-Switch.

The ‘Barawo’ crooners revealed this on the latest episode of Afrobeats podcast hosted by Shopsydoo.

They said, “We squatted with K-Switch in 2016. I’m no playing. 2017 nothing was popping. It was 2018, we were still trying to push and then we made a record in 2019 with King Perry. I think we were squatting somewhere then.

“That time we were squatting because music was not working and you now have friends that are telling you, omo, thus music is not working, you sure say you try enter street,”

Singer Portable captures hearts as artiste performs Apostle off album with live band (Video)

Controversial Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola better known as Portable who has been known for always trending for the wrong reasons has managed to captured the hearts of netizens in his latest video.

In the videos shared by Portable via his official Instagram page, the singer performs a track titled, Apostle off his new album with a live band while on the podcast tagged “Echoo Room.”

Recall Intel Region had earlier reported that Portable who breaks into the Nigerian music industry with his hit song “Zazoo Zeh” featuring Olamide and Poco Lee in December 2021 released his debut album “Ika of Africa” on November 25th, 2022.

According to Portable the album houses 16 tracks with no feature noting that he would only feature artistes for remix.

While on the podcast, Portable dished out a brighter side of him as he sings his song, apostle featuring the loba band crew whose Instrumentals and backups were absolutely nothing but amazing.

The song, Apostle by Portable addresses the trending conversation among Nigerian pastors who uses the money donated by church members to get bulletproof cars for themselves and families as they don’t want to go heaven.

Sharing the video, Portable accompanied it with the caption, “I had fun today doing one track out of my album titled Apostle with the loba band crew @echooroom_ I can’t wait for you all to watch what we came up with … wait on it #Drzeh #zehnation #zazlive band Nice one @babyluvgram.”
