Long-serving House of Representatives member Oluwole Oke (Osun State) resigns from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) after consultations, but his next political affiliation remains undisclosed

Honourable Oluwole Oke, a six-term member of the House of Representatives representing the Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency in Osun State, has officially announced his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Oke stated that his decision to leave the PDP was made after extensive consultations with his political associates, friends, and family members.

His resignation is formalized in a letter dated April 16, 2025, addressed to the PDP Chairman in Ward 7 of the Obokun Local Government Area of Osun State, which was sighted by PUNCH Online.

Confirming his resignation in a brief telephone interview on Wednesday with our correspondent, Hon. Oke stated simply, “I have resigned from the PDP.”

Despite confirming his departure from the party, the long-serving lawmaker refrained from disclosing his next political move. He has, however, urged his loyalists and supporters to also leave the PDP and await his future direction.
