In a strongly worded Instagram post, Morgan accused Okoye of avoiding direct communication and speaking negatively about her behind her back for several years.

The dancehall artist, who was once one of Nigeria’s most promising talents under Okoye’s Northside Entertainment, expressed frustration over what she described as years of silence and evasion.

According to her, despite multiple attempts to meet Okoye face to face, he has refused to respond or make himself available.

“All you have done since 2016 is talk behind my back,” Morgan wrote. “All efforts to see you in person have been to no avail.”

This public declaration marks the latest chapter in a long-running dispute that began when Morgan split from the label nearly a decade ago. Since then, there have been conflicting narratives about the nature of her exit, with both parties accusing each other of wrongdoing.

In her recent post, Morgan did not hold back in expressing her disappointment. She suggested that Okoye is unwilling to face her due to his own sense of guilt over unresolved issues.

“It is news that I am disappointed in you and I know you are also disappointed in yourself, hence your no face policy,” she added.

The singer hinted that the breakdown of their relationship was not only professional but deeply personal, accusing Okoye of dishonesty and spiritual failings.

“I know I had to reap my own destruction for sowing in flesh and you too will reap yours for being an instrument and for holding back such earnings through dishonesty. As we all know, God cannot be mocked,” she stated.

Morgan’s message struck a deeply emotional chord, and her followers reacted with a mix of support and calls for reconciliation. Some fans urged her to let go of the past, while others demanded that Okoye respond publicly to the accusations.

The renewed tension comes amid ongoing debates about artist-label dynamics in Nigeria’s music industry. The Cynthia Morgan Jude feud has often been cited as a case study in the complex and often controversial nature of artist contracts and intellectual property ownership.

In a 2020 live session, Morgan had previously opened up about how her contract with Northside Entertainment limited her access to her stage name, social media accounts, and royalties.

Jude Okoye responded by releasing contract documents that he claimed absolved him of wrongdoing, but many fans remained divided.

A Lagos-based music journalist, Funmi Adebayo, said the latest development reflects a broader issue within the entertainment ecosystem. “The music industry needs more transparency in contract negotiations. What’s happening between Cynthia and Jude is not isolated,” she said.

While Okoye has yet to respond to Morgan’s latest claims, industry observers say the silence may not work in his favour this time. Many believe that direct communication and conflict resolution are long overdue, particularly with the emotional weight the issue has carried over the years.

Morgan, who now operates under the name Madrina, continues to create music independently. Although she has yet to regain the commercial momentum she enjoyed in the early 2010s, her loyal fanbase remains hopeful for a full comeback.

“I just want my peace,” she wrote in a previous post earlier this year, suggesting that unresolved legal and emotional matters have hindered her progress. “No amount of talent can thrive without healing.”
