Nigerian music star Paul Okoye, one half of the iconic P-Square duo, has accused his twin brother Peter Okoye of being responsible for their elder brother Jude Okoye’s recent legal troubles.

Jude, who once served as the group’s manager, was arrested and arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over an alleged N1.3 billion fraud.

In a social media video circulating on Friday, Paul Okoye claimed that Peter played a role in Jude’s arrest and vowed to do everything possible to get their elder brother out of detention.

“The truth is, Peter is the one putting Jude through these things. He is putting him in prison, and I am here to bring him out. Because the same crime they accused Jude of, then Peter is guilty — Paul is also guilty,” Paul stated.

Jude Okoye was charged alongside his company, Northside Music Limited, on allegations of money laundering involving N1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59.

The EFCC claimed that Jude used the funds, suspected to be proceeds of unlawful activities, to purchase a property worth N850 million in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Despite the allegations, Jude Okoye pleaded not guilty to the charges. His bail ruling is set for March 3, 2025, while the trial is scheduled to commence on April 14, 2025.
