Domestic sales in naira initiative praised as Dangote donates bus to boost operations, applauding NPA for effective implementation of the presidential directive

Domestic sales in naira received a significant boost this week following commendations from Dangote Industries Limited. The President and Chief Executive of the company, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, expressed his satisfaction with the Nigerian Ports Authority’s role in executing the policy effectively.

The Federal Government’s directive mandates that all domestic sales of crude oil and refined products be transacted in naira. Since the implementation began, the One Stop Shop Committee, led by the Nigerian Ports Authority, has been tasked with overseeing operations and ensuring compliance. In a recent statement released by the NPA, Dangote Industries Limited revealed that Alhaji Dangote had penned a letter commending the ongoing success of the initiative.

As a gesture of appreciation and further support, he donated a brand new coaster bus to the committee. The purpose of the vehicle is to ease the committee’s operations and assist them in maintaining efficiency in their day-to-day duties.

Alhaji Dangote wrote, “In recognition of the enormous responsibility placed on the shoulders of the One Stop Shop by the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, and our commitment to ensuring the committee delivers on its mandate, I am pleased to donate to the committee one brand new coaster bus to facilitate the daily discharge of their operations.

We believe this bus will be used productively by the committee as we continue to look for ways to support and appreciate the efforts of this noble committee.”
