Zenith Bank Named Nigeria’s Best Bank at the 2025 Euromoney Awards for Excellence, winning the country’s top banking honour in recognition of leadership and innovation

Zenith Bank Named Nigeria’s Best Bank at the 2025 Euromoney Awards for Excellence, securing the country’s top banking honour at a ceremony held in London.

The award, according to the bank, highlights its commitment to innovation, customer satisfaction, and financial strength across Nigeria and beyond.

Recognised as the most prestigious country-level award in the global banking industry, this year’s Euromoney Awards saw over 770 entries from top-tier institutions, including HSBC, Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Barclays, and DBS.

Dr Adaora Umeoji, Group Managing Director and Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc, expressed gratitude for the accolade.

The honour is also a celebration of the people behind the institution.

Dr Umeoji dedicated the award to Zenith’s customers, the founder and Chairman, Jim Ovia, and the Board of Directors.

She praised the staff for their consistent dedication in building a sustainable and best-in-class financial institution.

Zenith Bank Named Nigeria’s Best Bank for the sixteenth consecutive year in The Banker’s Top 1000 World Banks Ranking, based on Tier-1 Capital.

In addition, the bank has consistently earned top accolades including Bank of the Year (Nigeria) by The Banker in 2020, 2022, and 2024.

Zenith also won Best Bank in Nigeria from 2020 to 2022 and again in 2024 and 2025 in the Global Finance World’s Best Banks Awards.

In 2023, the bank was awarded Best Bank for Digital Solutions in Nigeria by Euromoney and was listed among the World Finance Top 100 Global Companies.
