In a statement released on August 3, 2025, through his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu described Rabiu as “one of Africa’s most accomplished businessmen” and a visionary whose influence extends well beyond the boardroom.

“Abdulsamad Rabiu is a builder in every sense,” the President stated.

“He has built industries, empowered people, uplifted communities, and continues to invest in the future of our country—not for applause, but out of duty and conviction.”

Tinubu acknowledged that Rabiu’s businesses—particularly through BUA Group—have transformed key sectors and provided jobs for thousands of Nigerians.

“Nigeria is proud of him, and I am proud to call him a trusted partner in our nation’s progress,” the statement read.

The president also offered prayers for continued strength, wisdom, and good health for the BUA Group chairman as he marks this milestone.
