Modola’s journey began in late 2024 when a freestyle posted on TikTok garnered viral attention. Born in Ogun State and raised in Milan, she initially pursued dance and stage acting, mastering multiple languages before shifting her focus to music in 2020 with vocal training in Milan.

Her debut single, “Talk,” dropped in early 2025 and quickly became a breakout hit. Praised as a bold statement of self-expression, the vibrant track blends Afrobeats, pop, and R&B influences and earned her recognition on Nigerian charts.

On July 31, 2025, Modola released *New Light*, a six-track EP that blends Afrobeats, soul, pop, and alté.

Tracks like “Masun,” “No Stress,” “Oro Owo,” “Billing,” “Talk,” and “Kontrolla” showcase a range of moods—from hustle and empowerment to emotional introspection—while championing youthful grit.

Critics described it as a “radiant introduction” to her sound, celebrating its warmth, eclectic mix, and the fusion of Lagos and European influences.

Raised multilingual and culturally rich, Modola fluently speaks Italian, Spanish, and French, drawing on her diverse upbringing to infuse her music with global relevance.

Now signed with PG Records and Base World Entertainment, Modola’s rise mirrors the larger success of Nigerian Afrobeats on the world stage.
