Angola AfroBasket 2025 victory brought the Kilamba Arena to life on Sunday, as a full-capacity crowd of 12,700 fans witnessed the host nation dismantle Mali 70–43 to reclaim the African basketball crown.

It was Angola’s first AfroBasket title since 2013, and they did it in spectacular fashion—going undefeated (6-0) throughout the tournament.

Despite not delivering their flashiest performance, Angola took command from the opening whistle and never let up.

By the third quarter, Angola held a dominant 20+ point lead, prompting fans to perform a jubilant Mexican wave that echoed throughout Luanda.

Star guard Childe Dudao led the scoring with 16 points, drawing MVP chants in the fourth quarter.

Selton Miguel contributed another strong showing with 12 points.

For Mali, Siriman Kanoute and Aliou Diarra led the resistance with 14 and 11 points respectively.

Despite the loss, Mali made history by reaching their first-ever AfroBasket final, closing the tournament with a respectable 4–3 record.
