Confirming the development, Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca said:

“I know he is around here… I don’t know exactly where,”
in response to questions about the Argentine’s whereabouts.

The deal, which was reportedly finalised on Thursday, signals the end of Garnacho’s time at Old Trafford, where new United boss Ruben Amorim has made it clear the academy graduate is no longer part of his long-term plans.

“He’s a winger. I see him as a winger,” Maresca said, hinting at Garnacho’s potential role in Chelsea’s attacking setup.

Known for his explosive pace, dribbling, and cutting runs, the Argentine could thrive under Maresca’s system, especially as Chelsea continue building a youthful, dynamic squad.

Maresca also left the door open for further movement in the final days of the transfer window:

“The transfer window is open; anything can happen in and out.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea will be without Cole Palmer for their weekend clash against Fulham, with the groin issue that sidelined him against West Ham still unresolved.

Maresca confirmed that Romeo Lavia and Benoit Badiashile also remain sidelined and are unlikely to return immediately after the international break.
