The club announced the departure in a statement published on its official website on Tuesday, thanking Briggs for his contribution to the first-team setup under head coach Arne Slot.

Aaron Briggs joined Liverpool in July 2024 and became part of Slot’s backroom staff, working closely with players on individual development, performance refinement and personal support.

Liverpool said the coach played a valuable behind-the-scenes role during the title-winning campaign, with his work widely appreciated by players and staff across the club.

In the statement, Liverpool said Briggs leaves with the gratitude and best wishes of everyone at the club, describing his contribution as important to the team’s success.

The club did not announce Briggs’ next destination or whether a replacement will be appointed immediately.

Briggs’ departure marks another subtle change within Slot’s coaching structure as Liverpool prepare for the second half of the season and the challenges of defending their league crown.
