Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing raises alarm over 5,000 marriage requests from Nigerian men, blaming a phone number leak on social media

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday has raised alarm over thousands of marriage proposals from Nigerian men, saying the messages have become overwhelming.

The actress disclosed this in a video currently circulating on social media, where she revealed that over 5,000 men have contacted her directly.

Nkechi Blessing explained that the messages and calls come through her phone number linked to her Facebook account. She added that the number cannot be easily changed.

She clarified that although she is currently single, she is not searching for a relationship.

“I have over 5,000 men in my DM saying they want to marry me. I don’t know which video trended online. Please stop texting my number,” she said.

The actress appealed to the public to respect her privacy, stressing that her love life is no longer open for public discussion.

Nkechi Blessing was previously married to politician Opeyemi Falegan in 2021. She publicly declared herself single in May 2025.

Following the separation, the actress stated that she would keep future relationships private. However, she has occasionally hinted at new love since the divorce.
