Buba Galadima accuses APC in Kano of politically motivated attempts to prevent Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso from entering his home state

Buba Galadima, a close ally of former Kano State Governor and Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has accused the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano of orchestrating moves to prevent Kwankwaso from entering his home state.

In an interview with DCL Hausa on Thursday, Galadima claimed there is a document currently before the Presidential Villa, which he believes is intended to bar Kwankwaso from visiting Kano.

“There is a paper before the Presidential Villa, and from what we are hearing, it is meant to prevent Kwankwaso from coming to Kano,” Galadima said.

He argued that such action would be politically motivated and contrary to democratic principles.

“They are trying to stop him from coming to his own state for political reasons,” he added, noting that they are awaiting a response from the Presidency.

Galadima compared the current development to previous attempts aimed at frustrating Kwankwaso.

Responding to reports from the United States recommending sanctions against certain Nigerians, including Kwankwaso, Galadima said the news did not come as a surprise.

“Although this was not exactly what we expected, there have been many rumours,” he said.

Galadima also alleged that pressure had been applied on Kwankwaso to defect to the APC.

“From the time Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso was told he must join the APC, many people, including his friends and associates, warned him that if he refused, unpleasant things would be arranged against him,” he said.

Despite these pressures, Galadima insisted that Kwankwaso would not defect unless his demands, which he claims are made in the interest of the people, are fulfilled.

“Kwankwaso is not scared. He has made it clear that he will not move to another party unless the conditions he set for the good of the people are met,” he stated.
