Super Eagles coaches fly to Turkey for friendly matches against Iran and Jordan as preparations begin ahead of international fixtures

Backroom staff of the Super Eagles are scheduled to depart for Antalya, Turkey, on Monday night as preparations intensify for Nigeria’s upcoming international friendly matches against Iran and Jordan.

Assistant coaches Fidelis Ilechukwu and Daniel Ogunmodede will lead the contingent, while head coach Eric Chelle and other members of the technical crew are expected to join the team from their respective bases in Europe.

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) arranged the trip as part of final preparations ahead of the team’s two-match friendly schedule during the international window.

The Super Eagles are expected to open their training camp in Antalya on Tuesday, where they will begin tactical and fitness preparations for the fixtures.

Nigeria will face Iran in the first friendly match on Friday, before taking on Jordan in the second encounter scheduled for next week Tuesday.

The matches are expected to provide the coaching crew an opportunity to assess player performance, test tactical systems, and build cohesion ahead of future competitive assignments.

As preparations continue, attention will be on squad selection and final team shaping ahead of the fixtures, which form part of Nigeria’s broader international engagement programme.
