Ozebagbe assault allegation emerges as Ikorodu City coach claims player was attacked after match against Kun Khalifat in Owerri

Bright Ozebagbe, technical adviser of Ikorodu City, has accused Kun Khalifat FC of assault following their league clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri.

Ozebagbe alleged that one of his players, Olarewaju Molade, was attacked under the tunnel after being sent off during the match.

“We had a red card and the player was going out and was assaulted under the tunnel,” Ozebagbe said, adding that the incident was reported to the referees and match commissioner.

The encounter ended in a 2-2 draw, with Kun Khalifat FC holding Ikorodu City in the Matchday 31 fixture.

Despite the result, Ikorodu City remain third on the league table with 49 points, maintaining their strong position in the title race.
