Former Super Eagles forward Victor Ikpeba has declared Mohamed Salah the greatest African player in Premier League history, praising the Liverpool star’s exceptional consistency, goal record, and trophy haul.

Speaking during a televised analysis, Ikpeba described Salah’s numbers as “astonishing,” highlighting his dominance since joining Liverpool FC in 2017.

The Egyptian forward has scored 255 goals in 435 appearances for Liverpool, placing him among the club’s all-time top scorers and cementing his legacy in English football.

Ikpeba noted that Salah’s achievements, including multiple Premier League Golden Boot awards and major domestic and European titles, set him apart from other African legends who have played in the league.

He said Salah’s impact would be remembered for generations due to his consistency at the highest level.

However, Ikpeba also offered a critical reflection on the forward’s current form, suggesting that age may be affecting his pace and sharpness on the pitch.

Despite this, he maintained that Salah’s overall Premier League legacy remains unmatched among African players.
