However, Belgian outlet Het Nieuwsblad reported that Onyedika has declined the renewal offer despite sustained efforts by Club Brugge to secure his long-term future.

The defensive midfielder is said to be focused on a potential summer departure, with interest in his services having emerged in previous transfer windows.

In January, Club Brugge turned down an approach from Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray for the Nigeria international.

Onyedika joined Club Brugge in 2022 from Danish side FC Midtjylland, where he established himself as a promising midfield presence.

His decision now places the Belgian club in a difficult position, with the upcoming transfer window expected to determine his future.
