Osimhen Messi Ronaldo debate: Galatasaray striker refuses to pick between football icons Messi and Ronaldo, also naming Yamal and Olise as equal talents

Victor Osimhen made the remarks during a rapid-response interview session with Berneese, where he was asked to select his preference between Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal and Bayern Munich forward Michael Olise, as well as between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Nigerian international, who previously starred for Napoli before moving to Galatasaray, said both Yamal and Olise possess unique qualities that make direct comparison difficult.

He stressed that their playing styles and reading of the game differ, making it unfair to single out one over the other.

Osimhen stated that both players deserve equal recognition, describing them as exceptional talents in their own right and noting that choosing one would diminish the contributions of the other.

Turning to the long-standing global debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, Osimhen adopted a similar stance, refusing to select a definitive favourite.

He said both players have dominated world football for nearly two decades and have consistently delivered at the highest level.

Messi and Ronaldo are widely regarded as two of the greatest footballers in history, having defined an era of elite competition, while Yamal and Olise are among the emerging talents drawing increasing attention in European football.
