The Spanish side will feature teenage forward Lamine Yamal and several other key players as they look to maintain their strong start to the 2026/27 campaign.

According to Barcelona’s official squad announcement, the team will be without Raphinha, Andreas Christensen, Frenkie de Jong and Roony Bardghji, who are unavailable because of injury-related concerns. De Jong has returned to training but is still awaiting medical clearance.

The absences leave Flick with important decisions to make as Barcelona prepare for a challenging European fixture in Turkey.

Barcelona’s 22-man squad, as announced by the club, includes:

Goalkeepers: Joan Garcia, Wojciech Szczęsny, Dominik Livaković.
Defenders: João Cancelo, Alejandro Balde, Pau Cubarsí, Xavi Espart, Gerard Martín, Jules Koundé, Eric Garcia.
Midfielders: Brian Fariñas, Gavi, Fermín López, Pedri, Rodri, Dani Olmo, Marc Bernal.
Forwards: Gabriel Jesus, Lamine Yamal, Karim Adeyemi, Anthony Gordon, Hamza Abdelkarim.

The selection combines experienced players with younger options as Barcelona prepare for their first away trip in the Champions League league phase this season.

Barcelona head into the Galatasaray encounter following a 3-0 victory over Getafe in LaLiga over the weekend.

The club also began its Champions League campaign with an emphatic 5-1 win against Feyenoord, giving Flick’s side momentum ahead of the trip to Istanbul.

However, Galatasaray’s home advantage presents a fresh test for the Catalan club, which will aim to maintain its winning form despite the absence of several players.
