Man United target Victor Osimhen as the club seeks a new striker, with Galatasaray valuing the Nigeria forward at €150m this summer

Manchester United remain interested in signing Victor Osimhen, with the Premier League giants continuing their search for a leading striker ahead of the new season, according to reports.

The Galatasaray forward remains on United’s transfer radar as manager Michael Carrick looks to strengthen his attacking options, although the Turkish club are reluctant to lose the Nigeria international and have reportedly placed a €150 million valuation on the striker.

United’s pursuit of Osimhen has gained renewed attention after several alternative striker options became unavailable, leaving the former Premier League champions exploring other possibilities before the transfer window closes.

Reports indicate that Man United target Victor Osimhen as the club’s preferred solution for the No. 9 position, with the Nigerian viewed as a proven goalscorer capable of leading the attack at Old Trafford.

According to transfer reports, United are planning further additions this summer, with a striker considered a priority alongside strengthening other areas of the squad.

The Nigerian played a key role in helping Napoli win the Serie A title in the 2022-23 season before moving to Galatasaray on loan, where he continued to attract attention with his pace, strength and finishing ability.

Galatasaray’s reported €150m valuation could force United to consider whether the investment fits their wider squad-building plans.

United have also been linked with other attacking options, including Robert Lewandowski, Jean-Philippe Mateta, Eli Junior Kroupi and Dušan Vlahović, although some alternatives have become less realistic.

The club is also working on midfield and defensive reinforcements as part of a broader rebuild.

United recently moved for Santos and Tielemans after missing out on other midfield targets, while discussions have reportedly continued over players such as Roma midfielder Manu Koné.

For Osimhen, a move to Old Trafford would represent another major step in a career that has already taken him from Nigeria’s youth ranks to some of Europe’s biggest stages.
