2026 Ballon d’Or voting ends on Monday, with Yamal, Kane, Mbappe and Rodri among the men’s names and Shaw and Putellas in the women’s race

Voting for the 2026 Ballon d’Or will close on Monday, 28 September 2026.

An international jury of selected journalists from the top 100 countries in the FIFA rankings will choose the men’s winner.

Names listed among the leading contenders are Lamine Yamal of Barcelona, Harry Kane of Bayern Munich, Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid and Rodri, listed in the report as a Barcelona player.

The women’s award will be decided by a jury of 50 specialist journalists from the top 50 FIFA-ranked nations.

The leading names in that race include Khadija “Bunny” Shaw of Manchester City and Alexia Putellas, who has left Barcelona for London City Lionesses.

This year’s ceremony will be held in London on 26 October.
