Abdullahi Biffo is set to be named as one of the assistant coaches to Abdu Maikaba in the Nigeria Under-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, in a move expected to be confirmed by the Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, in the coming days.

Abdullahi Biffo Flying Eagles assistant coach appointment comes as the NFF prepares a technical reshuffle following the expected handover of the team’s leadership to Abdu Maikaba, who is anticipated to take over from former head coach Aliyu Zubairu.

The planned changes are part of a broader effort to restructure the Flying Eagles setup after the team’s early exit at the last FIFA U-20 World Cup, where they were eliminated in the second round.

Biffo, who previously served as an assistant coach with the Golden Eaglets, is expected to bring added experience to the youth national team structure as he steps up into the Flying Eagles technical crew.

The Abdullahi Biffo Flying Eagles assistant coach appointment would also mark a continuation of his steady rise within Nigerian football coaching circles, having worked with several Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, clubs including Kwara United, Sporting Lagos, and Katsina United.

Sanwo-Olu surprises wife Ibijoke with flowers and shares a kiss at COWLSO’s 26th Annual National Women’s Conference in Lagos

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu surprised his wife, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, with flowers before sharing a kiss with her at the opening ceremony of the 26th Annual National Women’s Conference in Lagos on Tuesday.

The event was organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) under the theme, “Anchored in Purpose: Be the Blueprint.”

Sanwo-Olu presented the flowers to his wife during his speech at the conference, which brings together women and leaders for discussions and activities focused on women’s empowerment and leadership.

“On behalf of COWLSO and everything that is decent, we want to appreciate you, we want to honour you,” the governor said.

The couple subsequently shared a kiss as Nigerian singer 2Baba’s song, “African Queen”, played at the event.

The conference aims to inspire women, empower leaders and promote a purposeful future through discussions and activities centred on women’s development.
